Trail head to camp below Little Devil on August 22.
On August 23, I did an out and back. First I climbed Little Devil then went for Big Devil. Passing underneath the Six Hellions was definitely the worst section and I chose to do it twice.
On August 24, after climbing over point 6844, I dropped down into the basin above Monogram Lake to link up with the trail. I spooked a bear who was about 40 yards from me. Too close for my comfort, luckily we were traveling in opposite directions. The descent was steep and I am nursing sore feet and knees. Amazing trip overall.
