Claire and Juliet ticked this peak 8/2/2020 and have chosen to share their trip report in the form of two poems. You're welcome. :)
Poem 1:
We started the day chatting away to follow a Wild Goose and a Ptarmigan
From below the Pinnacle to avoid boulders loose we took the snow till heather met the ridge again.
Amble to scramble, goat hair to precipice
Mask on, mask off, we traversed the crest of it
Clouds blew threw, we could lose our view and might even need a cardigan.
Poem 2:
The road is closed at Austin Pass
The search and rescue team waited patiently
We heard a dog had fallen
Buffs were good for quick safe passage
The Wild Goose trail warmed up our legs very quickly
Some snow patches along the way
Artists point was filled with snow
Add a little wedding planning on the side
A nice traverse on ptarmigan ridge
Filled with views in all directions
We reached the base of Coleman
about 2 hours in
Follow the snow as far as it goes
Up to the thistle ridge
If you are in doubt
Follow the mountain goat fur
Cucumber Gin and tonics at the summit
Right back down the way we came
Dark clouds sank on distant horizons
Quickly hiked back down again
