I have been dreaming of this climb all week long, which is a considerate portion of my life considering I am only 6 weeks old. I was so excited I wet my pants on the 10 minute drive to the trailhead. After a quick base layer adjustment we were well on our way. As we climbed there was moisture in the air and it began to snow. It was explained to me that it was not snow but indeed graupel. After a few intense third class moves, we approached the summit and my mom’s heart was racing with excitement. I tagged my first ascent and put the first tick on the Skagit Alpine Club’s Skagit Sixty.
